I found him very funny at times but sadly like many who were funny back in the day he wouldn't last five minutes now!

Too young to be a fan, but appreciate stupid humour to some extent.

Thanks to here just watched the Ali interview and funnier the Shirley Bassey song, then watched an audience with Freddie.

Excellent. He had the celeb audience by the balls in stitches every minute.

Saw him a few times at the Circus Tavern was very good in the early days funny talented but then I suppose the drugs took over and he just took the piss out of members of the audience !

Debs.

Please point out where i said people ARE getting in a state?

I clearly spoke of a potential situation. Ya know,'can you imaginge if blah happene'?

But you keep making things up,just dont do your usual bit of getting upset when tou get called a liar.

Re: Freddie Starr: Was anyone on here a fan?

Re: Freddie Starr: Was anyone on here a fan?
Yeah, very much of his time. TV was very different in his day.

We're so lucky with the TV comedians we have now, the likes of Jack Whitehall & Michael McIntyre, and the fat blonde Geordie bird with her jokes about cakes.

What a time to be alive.

Saw him in the parade ring at Newbury in the early nineties along with his horse Minnehoma who went on to win the National in 94.
Always remember when the bell rang for the jockeys to mount, he held his fists up and started sparring.
